Zookeeper for a day

As a “zookeeper for a day” you get to follow our zoo-teacher as a zookeeper and experience our animals up-close. It’s a great opportunity for children aged 8-13 years who want to learn more about animals, their behaviour and environment. A large part of the day is spent behind the scenes in areas that visitors normally don’t get to see at Tropikariet.

The day in short: We gather at the entrance at 8:30 in the morning where the participants get their own Tropikariet t-shirt. After that the mission as a zookeeper begins! Animals we care for during the day include lemurs, mongoose, tortoises, monkeys and flying foxes. We also feed the fish in our large aquarium. The day is finished with snake and crocodile patting. The children are then picked up at 14:30 by the entrance.

The price for the day is: 1795 SEK which includes morning tea, lunch, t-shirt as well as insurance.

Please note! Zookeeper for a day is run during school holidays and is held in Swedish. With enough interest (at least 4 participants) we would be able to organise a session in English.
