During weekends and school holidays we get a lot of visitors. To avoid long queues, visit us at opening preferably on a sunny day.
We kindly ask our visitors not to bring strollers into our animal exhibits. We currently have a lot of curious baby animals which means strollers are a risk for both yourself and the animals. Strollers are also inconvenient to move around due to the design of our exhibits and will make it croweded both for yourself and other visitors. Our recommendation is to use a carrier and leave the stroller in the car or there is a limited number of “stroller parking” in our entrance. We have baby changing tables in the toilets at entrance level and on the 2nd floor.
Our tropical exhibits have tropical temperatures! In some parts of the building, we have 80% humidity and 25-30 degrees Celsius. We have a coat room but we´re not responsible for any valuables left there.
It’s possible to access all parts of Tropikariet with a wheelchair or a walker, however the paths through our exhibits are uneven, narrow and with a gradient in some places. In some areas the gradient is greater than 5%. Therefore, we recommend wheelchair users to have a companion with them. 1 companion with approved Swedish companion card (ledsagarkort) gets free admission when accompanying the person in need of assistance. We have an elevator between our exhibit floors. There are wheelchair accessible toilets at basement level and on the third floor. We have disability parking close to the entrance.
It is not allowed to bring any type of food or drink inside the animal exhibits. This also applies to food inside bags as the animals can smell it and are capable of opening bags. If the animals were to eat something not meant for them they could get very sick. If you bring any food it should be left in the car or in our coat room, we don’t take responsibilty for anything left there.
We have a café where you can buy simpler dishes and baked goods. There is nowhere inside Tropikariet where you can bring and eat your own food. Depending on how busy it is there might be space at the two picnic tables in our parking lot. As mentioned above, it’s not allowed to bring any food in with the animals.
